Middle School Ministry

Awakening to
Mission
The middle school child needs space for authentic dialogue, meaningful work, and lived faith, so that their relationship with God becomes both personally owned and actively lived in the world. They seek to live and share this faith and work with both their peers and greater community.

Gather and
Belong
Our middle school youth join together for one evening each month for fellowship, Bible/book studies, and service opportunities.

Morning
Studies
Our Colwich Elementary middle schoolers also have the option to also come each morning in a classroom format. Together they explore the truths of our Catholic faith and come to more deeply understand the gifts of the Holy Spirit. An emphasis is placed on active participation in the Church, community service, and growing in discipleship through the example of the saints. As they begin to prepare to enter into high school, the middle schoolers take a deep dive into the beauty of our human dignity, identity, love & relationships, vocation, and chastity through a study of the Theology of the Body.

High School Ministry

A Deep
Longing
As our youth enter into high school, a strong social longing continues to develop: a deep desire to belong to peers, to form authentic friendships, and to be known within a community that is real and life-giving. They begin to move toward a more adult way of living faith—not as something passively received, but as something shared, discussed, and embodied together and with the greater parish community. There is a deep desire to serve alongside others, to wrestle with truth in dialogue, to pray with Scripture, and to discover what it means to live as a disciple within community, not in isolation.

True
Identity
Throughout the month our high schoolers join for a fellowship activity, service activity, and two evenings of breaking open the faith with Fr. Pat at the rectory. Our ladies also have an opportunity to join for smaller group activities, as well as book and Bible studies, to help deepen their understanding of the mission and purpose God has created them with, as well as develop a strong foundation of their true identity as beloved daughters of God.
